Things are happening again!

Well it biggest news is that after four years my husband and I have stepped down from being Baron and Baroness. I now have no job, in real life or in the SCA. So since I am now retired I have time to play, and I have been busy adding projects to my list. So far I have two commissions for tunics, a amazing musician is getting his Laurel and I will be working on that, and a soon to be Queen needs to look fabulous as well. Not to mention a friend is wanting to start a business, and I may be putting together a bulk order of under tunics.

So here is Ellie's Viking
Happy Viking Lady!

A reminder to be careful with that needle.

So there we are. I should be sewing now anyway.

Dear readers,

I apparently still manage to have some followers that still read this blog. Sorry for the lack of . . . anything really. You would think that being unemployed would allow me endless hours to sew, and blog, but for the most part I try to keep my children from damaging themselves, each other, or the house.

In better news I have actually spoken to the Muse, and she has been happy to have me work on Viking Clothes for a friend. I am making a Saffron Linen Apron dress, Under Tunics (one linen, one cotton), a Long Sleeve Tunic, and a Short Sleeve Tunic. I am pretty happy with the progress so far, not happy with the deadline of Thursday, and the massive amount of packing to be done before Egil's. Not to mention that this will be our last Court as Baron and Baroness, so the scrolls, thank you's, and general end of tenure panic that goes with being a Landed Baroness on top of everything.

So since I should be abed, I will leave you with these pics of a Fighting Tunic I recently made for a friend,

P.S. My awesome father in law gave us a new camera! YAY! Pictures that you can see!
